The Ginho team celebrate their award wins at the Ginho European head office located in Burton upon Trent in the United Kingdom.
Burton-based Ginho is celebrating three award wins from The Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce and both The Business Desk West and East Midlands.
Up against very strong competition, Ginho won the Excellence in International Business category at the 2024 Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce Awards. The judges were especially impressed with the opening of Ginho’s Mexican operation as well as growing sales in Germany, America and the UK.
Ginho Europe managing director Shaun Gray then won The Business Desk’s Leadership Award for companies with over 100 employees in both the West Midlands and East Midlands. The ceremonies took place in Birmingham and Nottingham respectively – with over 250 attendees at both events.
Apart from achieving record sales levels and opening the operation in Mexico last year, special mention was made of Shaun’s leadership by example. Shaun started as an apprentice and consistently champions personal development for the whole team. He also does significant amounts of volunteering to support the local community – he is president of Burton & District Chamber of Commerce and patron of international operations at Burton & South Derbyshire College.
Shaun Gray said: “These award wins have been an absolute highlight – especially as we approach our 10th anniversary. We have been championing international trade for a number of years and so to achieve external recognition is both rewarding and very exciting. Especially as the competition was so tough! But while being in such esteemed company of course made the evening very special, the best bit was celebrating as a team.
“I feel incredibly humbled by the leadership awards – and must pay huge credit to all my colleagues at Ginho because this really is a reflection of what we deliver as a team and I am massively fortunate to work with such a talented, hard-working group of people.”
